Despite the fact that total hip replacement is one of most successful surgical procedures for treatment a variety end-stage diseases, process osteolysis and implant loosening remains significant problem, especially in young high-demand patients. More than 40 years ago, ceramic bearings were introduced due to their mechanical advantage order obtain reduction wear debris, conviction it was possible minimize friction owing hardness, high chemical stability, surface lubrication by fluids low coefficient. Together with excellent properties, ceramics have biological inertness: eventual debris will lead reactive response predominance fibrocystic cells, rather macrophagic absence giant which ideal from perspective.
